Hello everybody!
Kew here, here Kew. Bless you.
The Wutars have as usual been very busy bees indeed. We have been hard at work in the rehearsal studio honing down our lovely songs and there’s a couple of new ones we are enjoying so if you fancy enjoying them too, pop down to a gig and check ‘em out.
On Saturday night we were the headliners at the Camden Barfly. What a gig that was!
After sitting in a pub full of yuppies on Primrose Hill who weren’t enjoying the company of five leather clad rock’n’roll types, we strolled back down the hill to set up. All the while complaining that our finely styled hair dos were getting some serious wind treatment (we even considered buying hairspray on the way there – I know, bloody posers.)
Upstairs, Camden Barfly, 10:15pm (ish, I wasn’t looking at the time) we took to the stage and burst into ‘Sea Monkey’ and as this was only my 3rd gig with the band I immedietly felt something that the others must already know very well. I looked out across the packed room to see fans old and new dancing, smiling, singing along and suddenly felt like we were the best band in the world. And that night, I felt we certainly were.
This amazing feeling continued throughout our set and I’d like to thank everyone who came along to watch because you made my night.
On Sunday, I woke up with a little bit of a hangover (Maz was worse, he didn’t get up intil 4.00pm). Luckily for me, Alex Wutar was very chipper and made me a nice cup of tea to welcome me back into the world. This fresh and breezy sensation was not to last however….
Recently, us Wutar folk have taken to popping down our local country pub The Plough to indulge in a few cheeky Sunday pints. This Sunday was no different, so off we popped. The long and short of it is that we got extremely drunk and ended up getting pizza’s delivered to the pub and the landlord gave us a bottle of whisky.
In other news I am delighted to announce that we have arrived on iTunes!
Please download the EP or alternatively, you can purchase a physical copy direct from us.
We are also playing The Happy Wanderer tomorrow night, 9th of October in High Wycombe at 10:45pm sharp. Come down and boogie with us, that’d be marvelous.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I must just sit here and smile to myself. Maybe in the mirror too.
Peace and Love,
Kewie Wutar.
